Beavers & Cubs Visit Carew Airfield
The Beavers & Cubs visited the Carew Airfield last Wednesday and experienced what life was like during WW2. They visited the exhibition, listened to stories from people who lived through the war, and had an opportunity to dress up in clothes and uniforms, and sit in an Air Raid Shelter. Thanks to all the volunteers who made the visit so memorable

Scout Anglers Assessment
Thirteen Scouts were assessed last Wednesday by the group of Angling experts who have been educating them on Sea, River and Coarse fishing over the last 6 weeks. The Scouts had to complete a verbal test and also demonstrate their ability to set up and bait their rod, cast, catch, land and release their catch. All Scouts passed and will be awarded their badge shortly. Well done! Many thanks to the Anglers who gave up so much of their time.
‘Balsam Bashing’ at Kingsmill Wood
Thanks to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and Parents who made it down to Kingmill Wood today for one of the Scout Community Week events. Everyone worked really hard searching for (and bashing) the Himalayan Balsam, avoiding the brambles and nettles where possible. I think everyone found it both fun and rewarding doing something worthwhile to protect the native plants from this invader. Also, a big thanks to 21C for organising and supplying the tea and coffee.
